The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee is offering the Local Government 101 Training Course at no cost to you, on Saturday, November 23, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus, 137 Modena Road, South Coatesville.
This day long course is designed to provide a wealth of information about the many facets and operations of local governments whether this is your first election, or you are a seasoned official. We will provide a complimentary light breakfast and lunch thanks to the sponsors of the event: Unruh Turner Burke & Frees, P.C. and Siana Bellwoar. '
We have professionals in local government operations that will be providing the training. Those included in this training include attorneys, municipal planners, municipal financial experts, and representatives from local and county governments. Topics will include Introduction to Local Government 101, Financial Administration, the Sunshine Act, Right to Know Law, Employment Law, Prevailing Wage Law, Ethics Law, Public Competitive Bidding, and other topics. The session will also cover the important issues of Planning and Zoning to include Comprehensive Planning and Land Use, Regional and Multi-municipal Planning, Zoning and Land Use Law with other important topics.
